How long does painting take? – Video #3
Sunday, November 21st, 2010Here’s the third in a series of light online training videos, helping homeowners and apartment dwellers to estimate the amount of time their redecorating project should take to complete.
“So much of a good paint job goes into the preparation,” says Yoni Borojevic, Diamond Touch’s president for over 20 years in the GTA. “So that’s where most of the time is spent, depending on the condition of your walls, the different finishes you might want to use, and the finish and detail work you’d like.”
The new video mentions a few of the most common scenarios, along with typical time estimates for average projects of each type. Surprisingly, it’s not unusual for Diamond Touch’s crew to be in and out in a day or less for many one to three-room jobs, from start to finish.
“For most people, redecorating their home or even just a couple of rooms and the main entrance hall completely disrupts the household routine,” smiles Borojevic. “Knowing they can count on us to come in, mask off the untouched areas, do complete sanding and surface preparation and all paint work, and then full cleanup in a day means it’s easy for them to accomodate. And it’s like an instant transformation from old to sparkling!”
